Walnut River String Band

Jerry Norton

Our mandolin player extraordinaire:

Jerry Norton Jerry is not amused by mandolin jokes--he quickly changes the subject to the fertile field of banjo jokes. Jerry was discovered some years ago, hanging around the festival campfires and was soon adjudged "bandworthy" by the other members. He was unanimously voted in after we found that he had a warehouse where we could store our sound system.

To support his farming habit, he also runs a large screen printing operation. Because of his knowledge of printing processes, he saves us a lot of money in graphic design for our CD s.

Jerry is married to Debbie, who is one of the stalwart duo on our sound crew.

The band sincerely appreciates his musical ability with the mandolin, but are careful to see he doesn't ever get a vocal mic. Even though it makes his old bullriding injury flare up in his shoulder, his favorite song to play is "John Ryan's Polka" played at warp speed.
